Mattamy Homes
North America’s largest privately owned homebuilder, selling the Triangle’s most affordable new construction: eighteen communities and 77 quick move-ins south and east of Raleigh from $233,604, with a 3.99% first-year 2/1 buydown on contracts written in October.
About the builder
Value pricing, bigger homesites.
Mattamy Homes is the largest privately owned homebuilder in North America, and its Raleigh division — built on the former Royal Oaks Building Group — works the southern and eastern Triangle: Garner, Fuquay-Varina, Clayton, Wendell, Angier, Lillington and Benson. The trade-off is explicit: a longer drive to RTP in exchange for from-prices in the $200s and $300s and homesites that run from a quarter acre to more than two.
Where Mattamy fits: first-time buyers who want a new home under $350,000 within 30 minutes of downtown Raleigh, buyers who want acreage or a 3-car garage without a custom-build price, and anyone comparing Johnston County’s lower property-tax rate against Wake. Note that several Fuquay-Varina and Angier communities sit in Harnett County; we confirm the county, schools and tax rate on every lot.

Current incentives
What Mattamy is offering this month.
Mattamy’s current offer is a seller-funded temporary buydown through Mattamy Home Funding. A 2/1 buydown is real money in years one and two; we show you the year-three payment before you sign.
Year one at 3.99%, year two at 4.99%, then 5.99% fixed for the remaining term on a 30-year conventional loan. Also offered on FHA (6.784% APR) and VA (6.371% APR).
Mattamy’s 77 Raleigh-area quick move-in homes carry community-level price adjustments that change weekly and are not always shown online.
